If you find that Japanese WordMaster does not work properly on your PowerMac, there are a number of actions you can take to try to correct this. These actions are listed below:
窶「 stable System Software on the PowerMac includes System 7.1 (with system updater 3) and System 7.5.1.
窶「 update your anti-virus software and screen savers. You might also try disabling your screen saver temporarily.
窶「 if you use Word 6, it is good practice to restart your system after quitting this application.
窶「 if you are using QuicKeys, try switching it off.
窶「 disable all extensions (hold the shift key down when restarting) and try to run JWM. This will help determine if there is a conflict with an installed extension. JWM is a very 'safe' application, and does not use any advanced system calls or low-level resources, so if this fixes the problem, there may be an existing underlying problem with running any application in emulation mode on your system.
If you still have problems after trying these fixes, please contact Lava Software with information about your system configuration and the problem you are having. We will then try to emulate the symptoms and see if the problem can be fixed in a future update.
A native Power Macintosh version of JWM is planned.
